In a varied legal career, Peter has worked at some of the largest firms in the UK, working on defending the largest class action in British Legal history while simultaneously handling several thousand subject access requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Having embraced the use of cutting edge technology to assist in the review of 4.5 million files, Peter joined the Technology & Law Reference Group of the Law Society of England and Wales in 2011 where he influences legal policy in the development and provision of legal services online.

Digital Law includes the Law relating to websites, copyright, social media networks, intellectual property, data protection, privacy, security and encryption. In the developing online world, Digital Law is the first port of call in governing what can and can’t be done online.

At Taylor Bracewell LLP Peter has pioneered the provision of Legal Advice to the Digital and Creative sector while also offering crucial advice to all businesses on Digital Issues including bespoke Data Protection Audits that review the handling and storage of a business’s data, their data protection policies and procedures, their social media and marketing plans and highlighting any inherent risks while also advising on a road map to govern future activity.

Peter has spoken across the UK on Digital, Data Protection and Social Media issues and is working closely with the Law Society on Data Protection Best Practice for Law Firms.
